Health care access

Creating pathways to care

Kaiser Permanente is committed to building partnerships with community institutions that play a critical role in delivering health care (often referred to as health care “safety nets”), meeting the social health needs of communities, and serving as trusted voices.  Strengthening access to care pathways advances our mission to improve the health of the communities we serve.

Over the past 10 years, Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States has invested over $771 million in Charitable Care and Coverage programs, which provide critical access to quality health care for low-income, otherwise uninsured individuals and families across Greater Baltimore, Suburban Maryland, and Northern Virginia. In addition, Kaiser Permanente has a robust portfolio of grants, sponsorships, and donations awarded to safety net and social health institutions to support equitable access to care across the Mid-Atlantic.
