Furthering health equity through grants

Kaiser Permanente offers grants for programs that support the critical health needs of those in the Mid-Atlantic region. These grants allow us to develop purposeful partnerships with local organizations and other institutions while working toward our mission of improving total health for all.

We’re pleased to announce grantmaking opportunities available in two different focus areas for nonprofit organizations or government entities: Economic Opportunity and Food & Nutritional Security.

In order to apply for a grant, you must create an account in Mosaic, our online application system. The documents below can assist you with creating your Mosaic account or submitting your letter of interest (LOI):

Economic opportunity

This funding is intended for organizations interested in advancing Kaiser Permanente’s Diverse Business Growth strategy, which is focused on helping diverse entrepreneurs launch and/or sustain successful small businesses, become agents of change, and build wealth for themselves, their employees, and their communities. Strategies

Increase procurement with diverse-owned businesses

Geographic area

Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic States service area (Washington, DC/Suburban Maryland, Greater Baltimore and/or Northern Virginia)

Maximum award

Up to three (3) awards of $50,000

Food and nutritional security

This funding is intended for organizations interested in advancing Kaiser Permanente’s Food Is Medicine strategy, which is focused on addressing nutrition and food insecurity that can result in diet-related chronic diseases. Learn more and apply (PDF).
